How to Make Passion and Wisdom Work for You

leave a comment »

Passion and wisdom are two great ingredients of success when handled wisely. Passion is defined as a powerful or compelling emotion or feeling about something. It is a drive strongly channelled towards something. Wisdom is about right judgment based on knowledge of what is true.

The application of these two ingredient in a coherent and balanced manner can take any person to the top and keep him there. You will need this in every area of life to make a lasting difference.

You can grow in your passion for anything. The simple spark you need is to ask yourself “what is in it for me?” What is the reward if I let this thing take hold of me? The love of God compelled Jesus to come and endure all the contradictons of men. He saw the joy that will come to him in his mission and this was a driving force, in a dangerous venture.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” Heb. 12:2 KJV

What is your driving force for the years ahead?

There is need to walk in wisdom. This means being rightly informed and applying such knowledge properly. There is need to study and to think through every situation before taking any action. Praying according to the will of God makes divine wisdom available to you when you need it.

A passion without wisdom is destructive. It can actually open up a door for oppression, manipulation and many evil tendencies. In such a state, the person under such condition will always find a way to “sell himself” and continue in it. It is commonly called “evil passion”

Knowledge wrongly applied is offensive, limiting and destructive. It can produce indifference, selfishness, greed and ruthlessness. It is important that one does not offer the counsel of a fool; that is, acting without God and without the right information. Job’s friends, in the Bible, where like that and God rebuke them later.

It is importance to aim for a productive passion and godly wisdom. You need to be enthusiastic about what you do, get committed to it as if there is nothing else but at the same time seeking knowledge, applying it rightly and timely.

When you handle these two ingredient of life well, you will rise fast.
